GoDaddy is one of the largest web hosting and domain registration companies in the world. It was founded in 1997, and as of 2009, it had more than 36 million domain names that it managed – this is 3 times more than its closest competitor. I have used GoDaddy for several years for my web hosting and domain registrations, so I wanted to detail what I like and don’t like about GoDaddy.

I like their prices. OK, so they may not have the cheapest prices in town, but I have not found better prices with a company that looked as professional and safe as GoDaddy GoDaddy email login . I might could have saved a dollar or two, but to me it wasn’t worth the risk of dealing with a company that I did not know.

I like their quick response. If I want to setup a new domain on my hosting account, or add a new database, or create a sub-domain, it usually only takes 20-30 minutes for those changes to take affect. I don’t have to wait 12 hours, 24 hours, or even more that some companies require.

I love their customer service. Every time I call, I get a quick answer and very professional service. The technicians are knowledgeable and have understood exactly what I needed each time. I think that every company in the world should go through the same customer service training that GoDaddy employees go through – that is how much I like their customer service.

What I don’t like is there slow interface. Seems like is takes forever to get where I need to go with their user interface. Just about every click seems to take a good 10-15 seconds to respond. It is a good thing that I only have to make changes once, or I would lose patience in a hurry!

GoDaddy is the number one place online to get your domain and hosting account. Their excellent services and customer support will help you to get your business off the ground in very little time.

The have a 99.9% up-time guarantee, which means that when users want to visit your site they will be able to do so 99.9% of the time. They also provide you with 24/7 around the clock technical support should you have any problems or questions regarding your site.

Anyone can get their own domain name and hosting account. You do not need to be a business owner, nor do you require a business license to get started. It usually costs about $10.00 to get your domain and then it is yours for life, or for as long as you choose to renew it every year.

Hosting accounts vary, because everyone has a different need, but if you are just starting your business, you can get your domain and hosting for under $100.00 for one year. If you do not want to purchase a hosting account for a whole year, then you can make monthly payments for $5.00 per month, depending on which plan you decide to go with.

If you are planning on setting up multiple sites within one market, then you can even set them up under the same hosting plan, at no extra cost to you. (This is not available with the economy plan.)

If you do not want to get a hosting account, but would like a website, GoDaddy will host your site for free provided you purchase your domain from them. The only downfall of the free hosting is that they display their ad at the top of your webpages. This does not look very professional, but this way if you are learning it won’t cost you anything, and you can always upgrade to a paid hosting account at any time.

So you have a website address that you want to promote, but you’ve ran into a problem. Either it’s too hard to remember, or it isn’t usable with certain websites. The solution to your problem is to buy a domain name.

There are many sites that offer domain names for you to buy: 1and1.com, One.com, Register.com, or my recommended favorite, GoDaddy.com. GoDaddy is one of the most popular web hosting sites (you may recognize Danica Patrick as the Go Daddy girl) and has great prices: just $6.99 per year for your own domain name (This price is a special offer and I don’t know how long it will last).

2) Near the top of the homepage there is a green bar with different categories listed. Click on the “Domains” category and you will be taken to a new page.

3) Here will be where you enter your domain name to see if it is available. The choice of a “.com” web domain is already chosen for you, and I recommend using a.com because you’re trying to make this web address easy to remember, and.com is the easiest domain to remember. Now enter your domain name choice into the box that has an arrow pointing to it, saying “Start your domain name search here!”. When you have finished entering your domain name (it could be anything you want, but I suggest using something that pertains to website), click “Search”. You will be brought to a new page.
